Locke Family Chicken Fried Steak

  • 3 lbs. tenderized Round Steak or Cubed Steak

  • 2 cups all purpose white flour

  • 1 ½ cups milk

  • 2 eggs

  • Pinch salt and black pepper

  • 1 cup olive oil


  1. Cut 3 lbs. steak into six slices and tenderize or use tenderized steak.

  2. Mix together flour, salt and pepper and set aside.

  3. Combine milk and eggs; whisk.

  4. Coat both sides of steak with flour mixture.Dip coated meat in egg/milk mixture. Again coat both sides of steak with flour mixture.

  5. Heat olive oil. Drop coated steak into hot oil. Fry until golden brown on both sides, approximately 4-5 mins per side.

  6. Rest steak on paper towel.
